FIRE ASSISTANT CHIEF
EXAMINATION INFORMATION

| The Fire Assistant Chief examination is
given when a Fire Assistant Chief position has been vacated and the
Commission has been notified of the need to give the test (known as “at
vacancy” testing). At such time as this examination is opened for filing,
only those individuals currently serving in the City classification of
Fire Deputy Chief, who apply and meet all stated minimum qualifications,
will be eligible for testing. The eligible list will be created based
upon seniority of eligible candidates who apply during the filing
period.
